Flash Overview

Using Flash in Audio Weaver

Certain embedded targets have onboard Flash memory which you can access in order to store files that can be used by Audio Weaver. If Flash is supported you will see the following in the AWE Server Target Information tab:

Target Flash Support

Generally speaking, these files take two forms:

  1. AWB Files which represent the layout. (AWE Binary)

    1. Once added to flash, the AWB file will be loaded by the AWE Core at boot-time and the target can run in stand-alone operation. or Presets in Audio Weaver
  2. Audio files for use with the Wave Player modules contained in the Sound Design Module Pack

The articles linked below provide an overview of setting up the BSP to use Flash as well as preparing files for use by relevant modules and uploading these files to the embedded target's Flash memory.
